The World's Largest
Always active in community affairs Charlie gained early fame in his efforts to produce the World's Largest Apple Pie at the Orleans County Fair in 1929.
In 1931, Charlie decided to best his earlier effort by producing the Worlds Largest Cake! It was so big they had to build a new building at the fairgrounds to showcase the Cake.
Charlie also built displays for both the County and State fairs for many years. I will post some of his display work here as soon as I can get it properly scanned and formatted.
